There is a part of the scripture
that talks about the thought God has towards the human race. Whether we like it
or not, his thought remains unchanged as long as we are still very much around
on planet earth. If we are really going to live in his promise, there is a need
for you and I to lay aside every weight and sin that can take us away from the
path of greatness God has prepared for us.
It is important for you to
realize that God has a specific plan for you and He has beautifully drawn out a
blueprint for your future just as you pass through each day. God is so
concerned about you and I, and his love for us is unquestionable. He knows the
best path you need to take in other to arrive at your final destination. He has
everything perfectly planned out and I am convinced that you won’t miss out in
the end.
But the enemy wants to get you
off course; he wants to turn you to the left or to the right. He wants to take
you away from the path of victory, a path of greatness, surplus, abundance and
plenty. You’ve got to be sensitive enough to the voice speaking right behind
you, the voice that is saying “this is the way you should go”. The best path
God has for you is completely different from the path he has designed for your
friend. Your friend may have everything working for him but you don’t; don’t be
discourage. It is either you have strained from the path or you are close to
your destination.
Most times, the glorious future
prepared for you may not look attractive from the beginning, it may be filled
with thorns, bristles, obstacles, highs and lows, but be rest assured that
everything will work for your advantage. God knows your end from the beginning.
In 2014, I learnt a bitter-sweet
lesson that has taught me never to assume before taking a decision. I was on my
way to work and I needed to get to the office before time. While I navigate my
way through both familiar and unfamiliar terrain, I heard a voice telling me
not to go through one of the routes which appeared shorter and quickest to my
destination. I was hesitant, knowing
full well that I may end up getting to the office late. See, disobedience is
the highest form of rebellion.
In Isaiah 1:19, God emphasize on
the benefit of being obedient. ”If you'll willingly obey, you'll feast like
kings”. (MSG), “If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat”. (NLT)
I disobeyed the voice and I
proceeded with the shortest route only to discover that the route has been
blocked. My countenance fell within me, right there on the spot, I became
depressed. I got to the office late and I was favored enough not to have lost
my job. After that experience, I resolved to always make enquiries before
leaving my apartment for any engagement or appointment. Disobedience will never
allow you live a victorious life.
If you constantly want to live in
victory, a study of the reign of King David is necessary. King David lived in
victory all through his life. He never lost any battle because He always made
enquiries before any decision is made. He never went to war in haste and this
stood Him out from every other King Israel has ever had.
Watch out for the concluding part
of this series……BE REST ASSURED THAT THE
VICTORY IS YOURS.
